Rally Day #1: 21.77 miles

We left our home in Minnesota at 8:00 a.m. for what we thought would be an 8.5-hour trip to this year’s MTR host village of Shipshewana, Indiana. We had a nice surprise when we realized that our destination was in a different time zone making the trip 1 hour shorter. We arrived at the Farmstead Inn in Shipshewana at 4:30 eastern time. We were assigned room 233 and then got the bike ready to ride a 20-mile route of rolling hills through the countryside of LaGrange County. We can now add Indiana to our growing list of states biked in the USA. We met up with the OTTER gang following our ride and visited the vendor area in the Conference Center. I bought some FitOver sun glasses and Dennis found some biking gloves. We said good night to the gang and then had a pizza delivered from East of Chicago—it was fabulous!
