Brewskies Loop: 21.04 miles
Comments: Ride Time was 1 hour 38 minutes, average speed: 12.7
It’s July! We can only hope the weather is better this month. June provided many days of rain, tornados and thunderstorms. We were not taking any chances and thus were not able to bike our usual June miles. Well, that’s behind us now and this was a beautiful evening on the bike. It did feel like we were starting the season all over. We are looking ahead to our bike tour of the Tri-States following the July 4th holiday and decided to get in a warm-up ride by biking to Brewskies for supper. The wind was quite strong and our legs were a bit out of shape but it is still always great to be on the bike. While biking, we got a phone call from Kathi and John Johnson wishing us good luck on our upcoming tour. They informed us that they were now 20 miles from the Idaho border and still loving their journey. We also got a call from my mom as we were climbing the hill towards the I90 underpass. Mom just wanted to make sure we would bike carefully while on our tour—we appreciate hearing from family and friends prior to our journeys and carry each blessing with us as we set off on each adventure.
